A nutrient
is a chemical substance in food that helps us maintain our body. It`s provide energy,
help building cells and tissues, regulated bodily processes such as breathing.
No single foods supply all the nutrients the body needs to function.
We the people
and animals get most of the nutrients from
food. Essential nutrients are nutrients that the human body is
unable to synthesize. They must be obtained from food or water. Essential nutrients include carbohydrates,
proteins, fats, vitamins, and minerals

Lycopene :-
Sources :- Lycopene is a plant nutrient with
antioxidant properties. It's the pigment that gives red and pink fruits, such
as tomatoes, watermelons and pink grapefruit, their
characteristic color. Lycopene has been linked to health benefits ranging from
heart health to protection against sunburns and certain types of cancers.
Function in our body: - Antioxidant, Fights
free radicals.
Deficiency may result in :- Prevalence
of heart disease, skin damage.
